Accounting integration
Carpe Inventory IQ has direct integrations with QuickBooks Online and Xero — bills, manual journals, and daily cost-of-goods-sold post straight in. Pick the one you use for setup details.
QuickBooks Online
Connect QuickBooks Online, map your chart of accounts, and use Classes to tag sales channels. Bills, manual journals, and daily cost-of-goods-sold post live to your books.

Connect Xero — Carpe Inventory IQ auto-provisions a “Sales Channel” tracking category with one option per connected channel. Bills land as DRAFT invoices; manual journals and daily COGS post tagged by channel.
Read setup guideYou connect to one — QuickBooks Online or Xero, not both. Switch later if you want: anything already posted stays in the original system, and new bills, journals, and cost-of-goods-sold start posting to the new one from the day you reconnect.
Neither is required, and we don't have a preference between them. Many merchants run their books on something else — even spreadsheets — and pull the same bills, journals, valuation, and cost-of-goods-sold numbers out as CSV reports instead.
Common questions
I'm switching from QuickBooks Online to Xero (or the other way) — anything I should do?
Yes — please email support before you reconnect. Switching to a different accounting tool isn't rocket science, but each system uses its own account numbers and category names, so the mappings you saved for the old one can't carry over. We'll clear the old account mappings on our side so when you reconnect, your new accounting tool's chart of accounts can populate fresh suggestions in the dropdowns. Without that step, the dropdowns may appear unselected and you may have to assign the accounts by hand.
