Reviewing Carpe Inventory IQ
You may see a card on your dashboard inviting you to review Carpe Inventory IQ. Here’s what it is, who sees it, and how to make it stop.
Why you’re seeing it
Reviews are how other merchants decide whether Carpe Inventory IQ fits the way they work — a merchant weighing up an inventory system learns more from someone running a comparable catalog than from anything we could write ourselves. Reviews also tell us what to build next.
So there’s a small card in the dashboard header asking for one. It links to the marketplace your store runs on — today that’s the Shopify App Store — and it is deliberately narrow about when it shows up.
Who sees it, and when
The card is not shown to everyone, and it is not shown all the time.
Only the account owner. Managers, warehouse staff, and viewers never see it. Support staff viewing your account never see it either.
Only once you've actually used it. The card waits until your account has been set up for a while and your inventory is genuinely moving. It never appears during onboarding, when you wouldn't yet have enough experience with Carpe Inventory IQ to say anything useful.
Never on a development store. Development and test stores are excluded, as are accounts that are frozen or cancelled.
Only in a few limited windows. The card is shown for a short stretch at a time, with long gaps in between, and only a small number of times in total. It is never a standing fixture on your dashboard.
Making it stop
Select the × in the corner of the card and it will not come back. Dismissing is permanent — we will not ask you again on your dashboard, ever. That is the whole point of the control, and there is nothing behind it that quietly re-arms.
Opening the review page stops the card too. If you select Write a review, the card steps aside whether or not you go on to write anything.
Finding it later
If you dismissed the card and later change your mind, the review link is always available at Settings → Feedback — the /settings?tab=feedback tab — under “Review Carpe Inventory IQ.” That entry is unconditional: it is there whether or not you ever saw the card, whether or not you dismissed it, and whatever your role on the account.
The same tab is where you’ll find how to reach support, so it is worth knowing about either way.
Nothing is tied to your review
We do not offer discounts, credits, features, or anything else in exchange for a review, and we never ask for a positive one. Your plan, your features, your limits, and the support you get are identical whether you review Carpe Inventory IQ, review it critically, or ignore the card entirely.
If something isn’t working, please tell us directly rather than saving it for a review — we would much rather fix it. Email support@carpeinventory.com and a human reads it.
Things to know
Dismissing is permanent
Select the × and the card is gone for good. There is no timer behind it and nothing brings it back — not a new channel, not a plan change, not a new team member. This is the guarantee: tell us once and we stop asking.
Opening the review page also stops it
If you select Write a review, the card has done its job and steps aside. You don't have to dismiss it separately, and you're never asked to prove you left anything.
The Settings link is not a prompt
The entry on the Feedback tab is a destination you go to, not a request that comes to you. It never appears on its own, and visiting it changes nothing about your account.
It follows your store's platform
The link points at the marketplace your store runs on. Today that's the Shopify App Store; the card is built to follow whichever platform your store lives on as more marketplaces are added. Additional sales channels you've connected don't change where it goes.
